The 78th Precinct Youth Council is offering discounted registration for its spring 2018 Pee-Wee baseball season: register your 4-5 year old now for a Spring 2018 baseball team.
Hit! from the tee with bases loaded every time!
Run! around the bases as fast as you can!
Throw! the ball to home plate quickly to prevent the runner from scoring!
Field! the soft training ball to develop basic skills without the fear of getting hit with a hardball.
To register: go to www.78pyc.org/register, create an account and register for the 2018 co-ed Pee-Wee division.
Games are Saturday mornings in Long Meadow fields in Prospect Park from April through June. Play with friends: when you register you can enter the names of friends so 78PYC can do their best to place them on the same team.
The fee is discounted if you register before January 7, 2018. It’s just $165, but goes up to $200 after that date (a $35 discount!). Don’t delay! Teams fill up quickly.
The 78PYC’s Bases Loaded Program is a special age-relevant approach that directly addresses the capacities of 4 and 5 year olds so that the boredom caused by trying to have them play under the very complex requirements of baseball — which leads to standing around and grass picking — is converted to constant movement and excitement. Bases Loaded focuses on the basic physical skills in tandem with rules that are easy to grasp and that make the game fast-paced and fun! Players are always moving, are given simple directions on where to run and where to throw, and are given the opportunity to be successful at bat. In addition, Bases Loaded clearly defines the roles that parents can play to make this a fun and rewarding community experience for everyone.
